The Wrong Missy is an upcoming Science Fiction Superhero Horror American film based on the Marvel Comics character, Michael The Wrong Missy and produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel. It is intended to be the third film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe after Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and is being directed by Daniel Espinosa (Life) from a screen story and screenplay by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.

The film follows the title character Biochemist Michael The Wrong Missy who since his childhood has suffered from a rare and incurable blood disease and determined to save others suffering his same fate. One that proves successful beyond his wildest imagination. Dr. The Wrong Missy attempts a desperate gamble. But what looked like a miracle soon becomes a nightmare as The Wrong Missy comes to realize his cure has a terrible price as he inadvertently infects himself with a form of vampirism instead.

What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease. As he desperately fights back against the horrid thirst for blood the resulting mutation brings, Michael will learn the hard way that sometimes the remedy can be so much worse than the disease…Will good override evil – or will The Wrong Missy succumb to his mysterious new urges?

The Wrong Missy 2022 Release Date:

Sony has pushed back the release date for the Marvel film The Wrong Missy, starring Academy Award winner Jared Leto. While the Columbia Pictures title was previously scheduled to open on January 28, it will now hit theaters in IMAX and premium large formats on April 1.

The Wrong Missy has encountered several delays – all thanks to the pandemic. Initially scheduled to be released on July 10, 2020, the dates shifted to July 31, 2020, then March 19, 2021, then October 8, 2021, and finally to January 21, 2022, before going back again to the original date of January 28.

With the surge in Omicron cases, it is an understandable situation and scheduling for April just makes sense.

The Wrong Missy is scheduled to be released in the United States on January 28, 2022, having been delayed from its initial July 2020 date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When Will The Wrong Missy Be Streaming on VOD?

Upon its initial release, “The Wrong Missy” will be playing exclusively in theaters. But gone are the days of having to wait nearly three months for a blockbuster movie to be made available at home. Rather, most movies become available on premium VOD mere weeks after they first hit theaters, meaning that studios charge a premium to rent the new movie at home through a digital retailer, such as Fandango, Amazon Prime Video, or Vudu. In this case, Sony has committed to a theatrical release, likely of at least 45 days. That means the movie will likely be available to rent some time in mid-March.

But Sony has made it clear they are committed to releasing movies in theaters, meaning viewers will have to wait at least a little bit for this one. If Sony shortens the window to around 30 days, for whatever reason, it might — and we stress might — make its way to VOD in early March, though mid-to-late March seems far more likely.
